Our MLS rules say we&#039;re supposed to count all the days from the time the paperwork is signed on. I agree with you that a lot of agents try to sell their homes off the mls (almost like a secret mls) and for them it&#039;s not a fair guage. On the other hand, I like to get listings signed a week or two before the home goes live so that I can hit the ground running with inspections done, virtual tour prepared, ad copy written, flyer designed in MS Publisher, etc.  (I NEVER try to sell a home off the MLS because I do not think it serves my sellers best.) 

Anyway there could be two sides to it. I understand that in LA they don&#039;t do the CDOM (or is it DOM at all?) because of gaming the system.
